I know what you're thinking... one is probably a dictionary right?
Well you're wrong!!
I'm actually reading a Nicholas Sparks book Nights in Rodanthe.... the movie is coming out with Richard Gere and that darn Diane Lane who all the boys love so much and I want to refresh my brain on the story. Anyways, I'm not the biggest fan of Miss Lane but Richard Gere is good looking in my book.
So I'm reading this and because it's Sparks of course it's a sappy love story and gets mushy at parts and I feel like I may throw up right on the pages. So to bring me back to normal... I'm also reading Moneyball. I know, why would a Giants fan read a book about the A's and their manger and blah blah blah. Well Jamie suggested it, and it's baseball season so I want to read something about baseball and how many Babe Ruth stories can one person take? It's just very interesting how statistically speaking the A's should be total losers, but they actually win a crap load of games. So far so good.
I'm enjoying both books and it's nice for me to have a balance in what I'm reading.
Oh, and just a sidenote... who knew that Ethan Hawk was a writer? He has at least 3 novels that I now know of... it's on my list of books to read this summer, but I was very surprised (in a good way) to see that he's an established author. I'm bursting with fruit flavor already. (What's that from?? Hint: Hello, you've reached the winter of our discontent)
Pieces,
Kath
